God's Love
As I sit here,
Perched high on a hilltop,
Surveying the world below me,
I realise how small I am.
What does it matter about the trivia
We think so important in our daily lives?
What does it matter about meetings and deadlines
When the trees are still going to be standing there
Whether we achieve our targets or not?
What does it matter about the petty concerns
That cause us grief and anguish
For the sheep are still going to be grazing
In the valley far below?
A great sense of peace descends on me.
It washes away all the stress of the modern world.
It cleanses my soul to leave me feeling new and refreshed.
God is with me in this moment.
I can feel His presence in my heart.
I can feel His love.
It fills my heart with joy
And suddenly all is right with the world.
